Dec 11th 2014 Water ..."tour"

Did a quick spin around my area on the WR to see what the aftermath of a few inches of rain looked like in 24 hours {this rain  had followed a 3 day deep freeze..it was -10c in the day time two days before the rain storm }

started out things seemed pretty normal.. at least in the open area's

starting too look a little dicy.. but hey...  water crossings ..no problem...

the thin ice was the best part...  no frost left under the ice.. "soup"

things digressed... had to abort when this was only getting deeper.

back tracked and grabbed a second road i travel alot on..umm not today..

oh well... at least it was a December bike riding "fix" .. got a Jan slab  ride in last year on a rare +12c day..

Nice!! My riding days are over for this year... We've got snow and ice everywhere here in Montreal, and as of Monday, the winter tire law will be in affect. I can't wait for next spring !!!!!
P.S. You could have crossed that stream.    I would have done it on my WRX.... All you need is a twist of the wrist.

Evol It looked icy  as you described in your area.. here last week so never completely pack it in. The water is about 2 feet deep in that last crossing... At this stage i do the kamikaze  things in my mind... and let my old injuries remind me .. gravity always wins in the end...



In closing  a member in the local biking  site {NBDSC} posted up a video of your beautiful province with a theme of  searching for the perfect Poutine.. after viewing... the Gaspe is on my bucket list,, hands down a must do ride.

in the beginning they toss a coin to decide to ride the trip clockwise,,,, or counter clockwise from New Brunswick.. ->HERE<-

The best poutine I've ever had was at Fromagerie Summum in Bromont, Quebec. You have to taste it to believe how good it is !!!!

I saw that Thread/bike trip and it looked awesome! Maybe next fall? lol I'd be up for a tour around the Gaspe for sure.

I hear you.. step one is mentally setting the time aside.
 even after being out all day last week on the water tour i'm going through withdrawal   .. I think the idea of cold/crap weather looming/setting in  makes it worse..
