| Why not just use a motocross helmet and goggles all the time?
I do.
I love it.
Shoei makes a DS helmet by the name of Hornet I believe. Look that up. Might be what you're looking for. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I have an Arai XD-4 and love it. I haven't worn goggle with it though but they are designed to be worn with them or the visor down. http://www.revzilla.com/arai-xd-4-helmet | |

| Not trying to be rude, but why would you want goggles when you have the face shield ? I ride off road with my Variant with no ill affect... | |

| Motokid which helmet do you wear? Steve I loved the Arai that's what I wanted to get but I just found out may be going bowhunting in Texas was going to try and ( sounds crazy) but cheap just a bit on the helmet - the icon is a bit cheaper but don't think the shield goes all the way up and evol good point maybe I can get the icon and do not need goggles!! This is why I reach out to you guys!!! Thanks boys!!! | |

| the hornet is out if your cutting costs. they are not cheap. A riding buddy has a fly trekker helmet that looks along the lines of a hornet. You can wear googles or use the face shield if you like and its not expensive..

| Hey boys update! Just pulled the trigger on the shoei hornet close out price of $349 a bit less than the Arai and a bit more than the fly - to me I will be comfortable now feeling I have adequate head protection in case of a crash - thanks for all the help again!!!!! | |

| I've ridden off road with a street helmet. The only problem is fogging up the visor, which is why goggles are better at low speeds and when you are working hard/breathing heavy. I have also ridden off road with a street helmet after removing the shield and wearing goggles. I currently have an Icon Variant, wonderful helmet. I think this is an old HJC: | |

I'm like 2 minutes off 309, give me a shout sometime. I wear the Icon Variant in all sorts of weather, 25 deg F to 100 and so far I really like it. I got it on clearance (50% off) a little while ago. It has great venting when it's hot, but also seals up nicely when it's cold. You can take the visor off and run goggles if you want. No comments about the jammies... | |

| Scary thing is, my 9 year old boy has almost the same size head as me. That is Fish the cat. She gets freaked out at everything. Her brother Guppy is much more friendly. | |
