Shinko 244's and tubes on the WR Empty
PostSubject: Shinko 244's and tubes on the WR   Shinko 244's and tubes on the WR EmptyWed Nov 11, 2015 4:28 pm

Anyone run the Shinko 244's on their bike?

I guess the 4.6X18 on the rear, and the 3.0X21 will work on the front. What size tubes do i put in these guys?

Thanks!

Reuse your stock tubes, they'll be fine.

There's only one size tube for the front 80/100, 90/90 and 3.00 21 are all so close they sell the same tube for em all.

I like to use 100/100 or 4.0/18 tubes in the rear tire as the smaller ones are harder to pinch with a tire iron while installing the tire, a 4.5 or 120/100/18 rear tube will work just fine but is easier to pinch when putting the tire on.

I also run heavy duty tubes, as they are a bit harder to pinch flat when aired down offroad, ultra heavy duty tubes are even harder to pinch flat but I've had good luck with the regular heavy duty ones so I stuck with them since they're cheaper and lighter. thumb
