RK Chain Shot after 16000 km

Hi Folks

Needles to say I'm pretty gutted. I'll be going back to DID. Stock chain lasted 27000, now I already have several stuck links, at only 16000kms.

A new DID Xring chain is about 60€, not too bad. Whats your opinion on the front and rear sprocket. I know, I know, chain and sprocket should always be changed together. But the sprockets (Supersprox Stealth, with the steel riveted outer ring) only have 16k kms on them (like the chain   ), and look in good condition. At such low mileage I don't really see that I need to change them as well. Plus it's 150 vs 60€.

The rear sprocket in the pic is alright, not new but not worn enough to change either.
I'd put a new front sprocket on with the new chain tho, I wear 2 of those out per chain and rear sprocket and once the front sprocket is worn a bit the chain wears pretty quickly to match it.

I'd be very happy to get 16.000km out of my chain and sprockes with the use it sees.

I have 7000kms on my bike, the original chain was replaced at 4500kms, the srt chain I put on is holding up well, better than stock stretch wise, i'll be happy if it last 5000kms like the stock chain did.
I ride mostly off road and its pretty muddy close to home so my chains take a beating.

I'd have to change where and how I ride the bike to get 16000kms out of a chain.

Don't complain guys  you're lucky you're getting to do so much off roading!

I wouldn't mind in that case either. But seeing as I do 98% of my miles commuting on the street, and the stock chain lasted 27k kms with good care, I'm pretty disappointed that the RK chain with the same usage and care has lasted so much less.

Back to DID now, I'll see if it holds up as well as the stock one!
