Thanks for you reply. I too have the 3.1 and would like to get rid of the vent hose. That said, the original question was regarding tank bags, not tanks! Thanks anyway

I got you fully covered on this one, man...

I also have the IMS 3.1 tank, and I recently went through the same process- needing to get rid of the breather tube and also wanting a decent tank bag.  I have an outlet installed right in the way of the tube, and the tube was always catching on it and pulling out.

Here's what I came up with, and It's working perfectly:

1) This Tusk billet alum gas cap breather for $9
2) This tank bag (Wolfman Enduro tank bag $94)

This bag slopes well to our IMS 3.1 tank, and doesn't interfere with the gas cap.  I ran the straps for the tank bag under my plastics- so I can disconnect the bag in a few seconds and the straps stay put.

Here's a pic of them on my bike:

Thanks I ordered the vent tube and still considering the bag. Seems like it is the best choice, though!

I've got the SW Motech Enduro Lite tank bag. I've used it plenty on my previous bike (CRF250L) & only used once on the WR. It doesn't get in the way of the filler cap, as can be seen in the pics. I have an IMS 3gal tank waiting to be fitted, I'm guessing it will fit just fine on that too.

The bag on the CRF, lower pic is the mounting 'bra' on the bike..

How about a little 90degree bend pipe to move the breatherhose, forward and away from the top of the tank, instead of running in straight up? Shog

Rick Ramsey did exactly that. Coincidentally was looking at his site earlier today.

That looks like a very nice option for the wr, and appears to be about 1/3 larger capacity than my Wolfman Enduro.  I dig it.
