Well, I decided to buy a new 2106 WR250R and quickly realized why people buy used bikes, all that aftermarket must haves add up quick :-)

I am moving down in size from a 2001 LC4 Adv R to this much smaller and lighter bike and to be honest I could not be more delighted.   Tomorrow I might even get the bike out of the garage and out to Wildomar for a break in ride, it sad that the only tread wear I have is from sliding the backend around in the garage while installing the mods.  Speaking of which...  Oh and please advise of your thoughts on what is wasted or needed.

Installed Mods

  • Yamalink
  • Edge2 Full Package
       Fixed Rate Flasher
       OEM Connector Kit
  • Zeta Hand Guards
       Side Mount
       Running light adpater
       Integrated LED flashers
       Fixed rate turn signal flasher
  • Freedom Guard Kit
       Case Saver
       Sprocket Guard
  • Flatland Racing
       Radiator Guard
Skid Plate  ( Not installed yet due to Canister )  Love to find instructions on this or youtube video

Wants

  • Rekluse Clutch
  • GPR Steering Dampner

I've got a Scott's stabilizer on mine and love it both on and off road.  On the highway it helps with occasional head shake at higher speeds and off-road it's great for reducing deflection due to rocks and roots etc.

Rekluse doesn't make an auto-clutch for the WRR.  They say that the power required for auto-clutch operation is too much to be practical for the little 26 HP WRR motor.

The carrier is made by Joe Hauler and has a weight capacity of 400 lbs, I am very happy with it and it is very stable.  There is two additional support beams branching off the main strut at 45 degrees the end near the hitch, this helps considerable.  Also the carrier has a cam that locks it into the receiver, adjust be an end-bolt.

On the downside it is somewhat expensive compared to other brands I was looking at.
