Cleaning rims Empty
PostSubject: Cleaning rims   Cleaning rims EmptyFri Apr 03, 2020 11:51 am

My OEM WRR wheels have been in storage for 18 months since I got a puncture on the trails. Was changing tires today, the rims appear pitted and spokes are not in best condition, but no sign of rust. Any tips on bringing a shine back on the old hoops? Would petrol on a rag be enough?

A metal polish would work better than petrol at removing the surface oxidation. But a petrol wipe down won't hurt.

Unfortunately once metal anything gets pitted the surface will have little holes in it where the oxidation was removed.
