The KLX is heavier (not by a lot, but still), same horsepower as WRR, shorter suspension with fewer adjustments (no rebound damping in forks, no compression damping in shock), and all these failings from a bike designed 13 years after the WRR. This is progress?
Plus, the aftermarket is not particularly enamored with the KLX: the biggest gas tank available is only 2.7 gal, which will limit its use as an adventure bike.
Given all these, the question is why would anyone consider a KLX? Especially for someone with your height, the KLX makes scant sense, so grab a WRR while you still can.
