hi all,
i've done a few trips across the US (klr, klr, dr650, sportster) and rented bikes overseas, but never did a road trip that left the US. i wanted a smaller bike (the 125 i rented in nicaragua a few years ago never felt lacking) and after getting close to the dr350 and drz400, i found an adventure ready 2015 wr250r w/ 11k miles. its got the big 4.7 IMS tank, tusk rack/panniers, some LEDs, skid plate, and decent brush guards. it also has a yamalink (which i'm hoping to undo, since i can easily flat foot it currently) as well as an FMF header/exhaust and EJK tuner which for me are meh. weight savings are hopefully worthwhile.
anyway, just saying hello. i'll probably do a ride report on ADVrider if i can remember to type anything coherent and i'll try to then remember to post if over here. feel free to chime in with advice, or tag along if you are between the US and panama.
