Delay in throttle

Hi everyone I’m new to this forum. Just picked up a 2017 wr250r supermoto with 30,000 miles

The deal was pretty sweet and the person put a lot of money into the bike so i thought I’d join the club. Bike seems to run great but has a slight delay/power surge when I snap the throttle. As my name suggests I just picked this bike up to stunt and piss of my neighbors. Can anyone that has had a similar issue chime in or point me to the correct post so I can fix this issue. The surge is very minimal but it definitely affects how I ride and ultimately don’t feel very comfortable picking the wheel up. I’m pretty experienced and can wheelie other bikes for miles without dropping the wheel. Just want to see if I can smooth out the throttle. I will be changing the spark plug tomorrow along with fueling up with fresh gas. Thanks
