Why not find a late model WR-F (250 or 450) ?

I want a wide ratio 6 speed tranny moto that does not have a motor designed for racing. Seems that the WR250R was designed as a light weight dual sport, not a race bike. I'm not very familiar with the WR-F 250 450 but I suspect they are designed more for racing with a close ratio 5 sp gear box. Might be wrong about that.
You are right there are no requirements here and I can ride whatever I want on the street or in the dirt as long as I have a US plate on it. The TX plate on my baja kit modded KLX400R (DRZ400E) is 4 years old and I've never been hassled by the police, either local, state, or federal in Mexico. I would buy another DRZ400E if a 2010 model was available but they were discontinued some years ago and I don't want a used dirt bike.
