| I rode 1127 kms over two days. Motorways, River Crossings and everything inbetween... was a fantastic trip and loved pretty much everything. Long stretches of tar is not much fun, but totally do-able. Ready to go:
about 100 kms into the trip:
Great road up there:
The dirt starts, woo hooo!
I love this kind of road.. really smooth, surprisingly...
Sorry for the terrible photo. I was following this river for a long time: Road was called "Rocky River Road", funny that...:
I was following the GPS at this stage and have to say it would have been very difficult to get through without it:
Got the bike across, now for the gear. It was fast flowing and really rocky. very slippery rocks, no grip at all. took a bit of time.
After the crossing i climbed fast up the range towards Deepwater. Going through many gates.
The is where the roads get great. Fantastic weather at this point, road was the best i've ever ridden on. I love this stuff!
Storm coming in, It hit me later on:
Bit of a WR250R glamour shot!
Just got hit with the storm :)
Next day, really early start... that's 5:24am!
Sun rise, such a beautiful time of the day, and in the bush, on a bike.
Never ending dirt road
Lots of freshly graded roads.. must be that time of year
And on to home over pretty standard roads. trying to stay off main roads...
Great trip, great bike!

| Very nice. Was there any exhaust heat wear or melt on your bags? | |

They are Givi bags. pretty nicely made. The right one got really hot and deformed a little. The plastic heat shield has a bend in it now... :( I've made some racks for the next trip:

| Nicely done! What are you using for the lower mounting point, the rear footpeg mount? I'm gathering you constructed that out of aluminum? _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| yep, both side use the upper passenger pegs. They are made out of stainless steel. Arc welded using stainless welding rods.
Aluminium would be pretty weak that thin :)
