weighed my wrx

weighed my wrx today. fuel light on, weighed 272.6 lbs. 133 front 139 rear. i topped the tank off, and drove 2.5 miles home and reweighed it. 282.4.

it is lighter then i thought. i read stock weighs a touch of 300 wet. my bike has big bars, brushguards, 3.5 front wheel, 4.25 rear wheel, barrel 4 exhaust etc.

Interesting, I need to do this.

I think it would be cool to weigh the R² as well. Maybe if we get enuf participants we can make it a sticky.

i had my scales out cornerweighting my race car, and i said why not see what the X weighs.

do you have aftermarket wheels on there or something?

yes, i have wider then stock rims. 1/2" wider front, 1/4" wider rear

are they some fancy forged aluminum or magnesium wheels? That could explain why it's so much lighter.

i said rims, not wheels. they would be heavier then stock i would think, since they are wider.

haha sorry, I am coming from years of riding sport bikes where rims=wheels. How did you get wider rims on there, did you relace them with the stock hubs? What size of tire are you running in the rear?

i didn't do it, the original owner of the bike did. stock hubs, yes. here is a pic of it:



rear is a 150/60

Very nice! The amount of red & white & dark works very well visually.

Would love to see close up pics of the rear tire clearances with the chain & swingarm.
