| Just wondering how you guys do it for maintenance like cleaning the chain and such? My 2 stroke is a featherweight and with the high ground clearance I've never had a problem getting it into a stand. I tried with the wr today and just about threw my back. |

| Luckily mine's on a hydraulic jack. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I use this http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=66552 dropped is low enough to scoot under the skid plate by about an inch under a WR250R lowered half an inch. Also worked great on a buddies XR650L. | |

| I use one of the lift-type stands, too: A DRC H2. You step on a lever to lift the bike.
Back when I was 18 or 20 years old, I'd lift my TT-600K onto a stand. But now that I've reached middle age (not middle ages :) ), doing that is not as easy as it once was, I have to admit. :)

| My old lift stand is too tall for the wr.. so i've been using a very short aluminum bike stand that i put a couple of boards on it to get it high enough for the wheels to spin. I tilt the bike over on the side stand, slide the aluminum stand under the bike, tilting it a bit, then roll the bike onto the stand. It was much easier to step on the lever to hoist the bike up, but this works. | |

| It's easiest from the right side of the bike. I grab the front brake lever with my right hand and and get ahold of the subframe on the other side with my left hand. Lean the bike into my hip and lift the rear with my left arm while keeping the front brake locked and tip it up onto the stand. | |

Quality is actually good being HF. There's always a coupon floating around for 20% off one item deals for HF. I've bought a lot of things at 20% off from there.

| Even better, a coupon for a $20 HF MX stand. http://www.harborfreightusa.com/html/MagazineLanders/4-motorcycle/images/1.jpg www.harborfreightusa.com/motorcyclist
I'll make sure to write a review!

| To make matters worse, I lowered the girl's Wr so it's even lower than my lowest stand.
Sure, I can lift it, but at risk of injury so I made two 2x6 on top of 4x4 ramps, roll the bike up and then put the MX (FMF) lift stand under it.
The same trick works for the sport bike when removing the front wheel. I hoist the bike by the bars to the ceiling and then back the ramps off by rolling the bike gently back-and-forth.
Luckily the LC4 has a center stand (which is no real pleasure either BTW).
