YIPE!!!

Well, I just learned the hard way that you can't stand far enuf away to avoid disaster. I'm off of riding for a while. Myself and my other half were splitting wood for our yearly winter stockpile; I was running the splitter, while Dan was at hand with the splitting maul to dislodge any ornery rounds of wood that jammed onto the end of the splitter. Well, we were at the last round and the bloody thing decided it was gonna wedge itself but good onto the end of the wood splitter. I stepped a ways back and Dan took a big hard swing at the round...the head flew off the handle and struck me right below the left kneecap. Crutches, ice, and hydromorphone. Weee.....

Dang.... Perfect definition of an accident. "An unforeseen event".

Make sure he is kissing your boo-boos. It may not help, but it surely cannot hurt !
