| So, what/where did we decide on as a place to buy one?? I know a couple of people have had to replace them but I don't think they ever posted where they got them. *I know she's dirty. I rinsed her off, but will wipe down before re-assembly. No it's not fixable. Pretty sure the fan is ok thou. | |

No because BB told me it wasn't worth it if you looked at the risk assessment. *Do you think I could start a claim with him? **I'm just kidding. You asked a question and I answered. I will ask the mods to delete any posts that detract from this thread.

| Based on your pic to the left, I'm suprised you didn't throw one on there. Would it have helped any in the situation that wrecked your radiator? There are times when it's really not going to save it. | |

| There's really no way to know positively whether it would have helped or not. Looking at the minimal damage, I'm pretty sure it would have helped thou. Probably would have gotten me home if not being able to continue to ride.
*Yes, next radiator will definitely have a guard on it.

Thanks for inspiring me to bring the rad into a shop. He sees pretty nonchalant about the damage. I should have it back by next week at a fraction of the cost of a new one. <fingers crossed> *I was told by someone I work with that 'now' obviously doesn't know, that if it leaks from the fins then it can't be fixed.

| well..He only charged me $50. Sucks that I was all excited to install it only to realize my guard isn't here yet. Need to track it and see if it's going to be here today or not. Guess not riding this weekend. *I just picked up some auto green 50/50 mix. Is that good enough? (i'm not going to run any additive wetter stuff) I'm happy. I had to re-bend a couple of brackets, but that's cause he didn't have a fan to line up with them. | |

| Looks great! A $50 education is a bargain compared to $188 education. Best of luck! | |

| thanks. Got everything installed (except for air filter, waiting for it to dry). Not really ecstatic over it, but I guess it will do. Seems as thou without the black shroud and louvers, there is no protection against "bushwacking" and that happens more then I would like it to. One good bush/tree is going to rip the plastics right off on that side. | |

| Mine was pretzeled like that. The things are surprisingly thin. Bolted sides in my bench vise and could stretch it back up by hand then open the crushed vanes with a tiny screwdriver. I'm sporting a rad guard now. | |
