Yesterday it rained all day, which meant today is gonna be muddy, and it happens to also be sunny today around 70 .. all in all, great day .. woke up early, put on the gear and rode about 1.5 hour to some trails south of Boston .. when I got close to the entrance of the trail I pulled over and put on my goggles and decided to take it easy for a bit and scope things out a little before having some fun (checking out to see who else might be out there .. sometimes ATV's come out of nowhere). I rode about 10 minutes and then saw a couple of guys and ATV's in a parking lot just outside the trails, and next to them were two official looking trucks. I kept going thinking, maybe its just locals hanging out shooting the shit, that was wishful thinking for a minute or so .. then I decided to go back and see what the hell was going on .. I was told I need permission to ride around here (I almost asked where I could get permission but then realized that I am not in Texas anymore) .. the official guy said not many legal places to ride around here .. he named one place but I did not pay much attention because I was bummed out I had to go home. I just dont understand why with so much land around here, why there are not more (legal) places to ride. Sucks. Im working on my escape plan (from MA) and thinking to head to Colorado next year.
