| How many of you use their WRs in the winter? And if so, what do you do to them to prepare them for it? | |

| I usually don't ride it much but will drag it out if the road is clear. I'll make sure the tank is always full, and put some methyl hydrate in it to disperse water. I also have it on the battery tender just to keep it topped up. I also use thinner oil and not the 15/40 for easier turnover, and Ultra Duty 1 grease instead of 2. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I start mine once a week during all winter. I run it until it reaches peak temperature. That way it removes all hunidity, charges the battery and circulates the oil inside the engine.
Like Shewolf I use thinner oil.

| i put some sta-bil (fuel stabilizer) in on a full tank and let it run for a bit, hook a battery tender up to it and put it on a center stand so its not sitting on the tires ( a bit over kill). I've done that with every bike i have owned and they always crank up first shot in the spring | |

| Bike winterization in our house involves: - putting fuel stabilizer in all the tanks - removing all the batteries - putting all the batteries together in parallel and hooking up the trickle charger. I only ride until the roads get snowy and icy. Since they don't plow here in cow town, there might not be clear roads till spring once it gets snowy. I know some wing nuts around here that run studded tires and do 24 hour races but I'm not sure which came first, running on the ice or getting dropped on their heads too many times. | |

| Maybe they got dropped on their heads as babies. Makes you wonder sometimes when you see weird shit going on. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| Awh.... Love Colorado. Snowing and single digit degree (F) on a Monday and 40 degrees (F) and sunny on Tuesday. No winterization for me. But a lot of extra layers!!! | |

We do.... Preparations include frequent cleaning, oil changes, tire changes, foam air intake cleaning, chain adjustment and lubrication, gear and ride planning. Pretty much the same as summer except more strategic weather planning and increased riding/mileage.

| Here is my WR250F set-up last year. This was a bitter cold day but I had muffs and heated grips and I was good to go.

| Put some pined tires to. Aerostich sells good pins or you can buy Trelleborg tires.

| I could never ride with those arm collar things.
Way to freaky.
"God to go" is right... I'd rather go snowboarding.
