not picked it up off the dealer yet, they're fitting a piston as part of the deal.

No apologies required. Nice bike, but why a need for a new piston ? That's not a good sign for starters.

Bike had done 105 hours, been reading on the net that for trail riding/ the odd enduro in sportsman class, 100 hours is the ideal time for a new piston.

The dealer said that the piston will last a lot longer but agreed to change the piston.

Ahhhh.... Well, if it comes with the price of the bike and there is a warranty, even short as it may be, I guess that's cool.

Congatulations ! Good luck on it !

If I owned a bike that "ideally" needed a piston change every 100 hours, I'd be sorry too!

Well, I hope it's good to you and is everything you're looking for.

Had a good day yesterday so loaded the bikes up and headed south about 90 miles. Unloaded the bikes at noon-rode--loaded back up around 5pm. Mostly runniung for the entire time--about 5 hours. So doing this 20 times will net me a top end job? I think I have about 4000 miles on this bike in 6 months, average speed hard to guess but let's say 40mph since most of mine is offroad. That would equate to about two top ends per year? Heck my knobbies last longer than that--enjoy but that is not for my kind of riding.

Thanks, i hope so too.

I'd have got a WRR but fancied something a bit more chuckable.

I guess i'll find out soon if i made the right decision.

Trail riding in the UK is severly restricted and it's getting worse by the day and i think a lot of my riding will consist of tight woods style "enduros".

Who knows, in six months it might be sold and i've got a WRR, i've certainly enjoyed riding them.
