450 swap

hey im stuck in wisconsin where i guess you cant have any fun and switch over a dirt bike to street legal that doesnt have a factory vin. (DUMB) any way im thinking about going crazy and sneaking around the law and swap in a 450 from a wr besides the obvious like its not a road motor and fuel sucker does anyone have any things why this would not work???

If it were me I'd try to find a cheaper bike to start with.

It wouldn't be easy and require a lot of figuring out. Probably way, way more work than what it's worth. Why not keep the stock motor, put in a 290 kit, some other performance parts, and call it good? In the end you'd have less issues to deal with and a motor you wont have to maintain as frequently.

Ya Idk I'm just trying to find a way to get some real snort out of a bike I love my wr but once I rode my buddys 450 I just can't stop thinking about it. I'm just looking into any options I guess and that came up. Also I can't find any bigger sm that I can title in wi.

If you're wondering about how much work is involved with tryig to put a WR-450F or YZ-450F engine into the WR-250R frame, you may as well try to mount an engine from a car.
I think it would be that much work and grief becaue there's no way in hell that it would be a great fit. :)

My advice:

If you've been bitten by the more cc bug, sell your bike and buy one with more cc that you can register.
Been there, done that. :)
