| I have this idea to make crash bars for the WR250R/X. I need to know how much interest there is for these to go ahead. Some initial ideas: 1) Complete bolt on 2) Use OEM mounting points 3) Powder coated 4) Provide place to mount driving lights 5) Ultimate radiator protection 6) All TIG welded DOM Steel tubing Here are some quick views of how they will look: So, any thoughts? How much would you be willing to spend? Options? I am pretty confident I can bring this to market but I need to know what you guys think/want before I jump into this. Also, to the Safari tank owners, how much wider is that compared to the stock shrouds? Would you folks be interested as well? Thanks! | |

| Hey, I would, I tink they look pretty neat, my buddy has them on his beamer and it really helps when you drop the bike not to tear it up. I would think ballpark of $200 or so would be fair. | |

| neat idea, but if the primary concern of this is to protect the radiator, well why not make a better rad guard than these cheesey aluminum plate ones we all run....

| Protecting the radiator is one function, being able to mount some Aux lights is another, and protecting the side panels is another.
To make a radiator guard stronger you would have to mount it in a similar fashion, there are only so many places on the frame to bolt stuff too... The radiator guards we all have WILL stop rocks and stuff from wrecking the radiator, the crash bars I am thinking of making wont.... | |
