| On Sunday, I got 47, a new high. This is with my 2008 WR-250X. Mods: 13/49 sprockets FMF Q4 muffler FMF Power Programmer with the original as-delivered settings Airbox flapper gone AIS removed
The worst was with the 2008 WR-250R I rode last year, which was in the mid to upper 30s. Same mods, but with the addition of an FMF Powerbomb head pipe and the FMF programmer had richer settings.

| I get around 75 to 80 miles from full tank to fuel light. Not sure how this translates, as we're talking Imperial miles/gallons, as opposed to US measurements, & also, fuel is sold per litre in the UK, but distances measured in miles. | |

I get the same range out of my California bike (1.9 gallon tank). Puts mileage right around 50 MPG.

| On my first two tanks on my new to me 2008 WRR I got 47 and 49 mpg according to the odometer. I was hoping for closer to 55-60 but oh well, I'll take it. I'm about 210 riding weight so maybe that decreases it some. | |

| well!! going from the speedometer, I went 72.3 miles and it took .957 gallons to fill it all the way back up. If the mileage was true, that would be like 75 mpg!!! but knocking it down 5 miles which would be 7% error, it's still 70 mpg which isn't too shabby! | |

I believe the 7% error is only on the speed - not the distance. Unless you've corrected your speed and you know you've thrown your distance off that much. Were you using a gps for distance? _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

No GPS this time. The next time I'm out for a long run I'll check it against the odometer and report back.

What's so fancy about either multiplying or dividing by 10? Too complicated? I don't like math, not even a little bit. So not having to divide and multiply by 4, 8, 12, 16, 32, or 64 certainly works for me. If you could ever drag me back to Imperial measures, (where a gallon isn't necessarily the same gallon, depending where you are) back to a system where the unit of measure was established by the length from the King's nose to his thumb, it would be in chains, kicking and screaming.

Depends how well the US remembers its history, I suppose, if that really is the issue.

| Didn't mean to derail the thread, I was just messing around, as he was. I am an engineer, I love the metric system, trust me. The general public may not use the metric system, but we sure use it in electrical engineering.
Back to mpg or kpl or whatever you want to post.

| Running in my new R and have been sticking to below 60mph, 100 miles on 5 litres , on standard gearing. I would be happy with 70 miles on 5 litres, £1.40 a litre here in the UK , Robbing goverment.
