| i ran them on my X for a few months. they are like a cheap heavy distanzia. dry warm grip was impressive for that they were, and offroad traction was decent as well. mud stopped them dead though, which is to be expected.
tires who a mother f'er to balance. they took a retarded amount of weight.
i ditched them because i got a second set of dirt wheels, so i did not need a middle of the road tire. all in all, worth the $105 you can get them new.

| I'm looking at putting 705's on my wrr. Could some one tell me the largest size rear that will fit on the r? | |

| Old thread but update for anyone considering 705s on WR250R. Just put these tires on and ran about 150 miles with them and really impressed. Dry grip on tarmac is impressive in twisties and the bike is much more stable at freeway speed than the 50/50 Shinkos used for dirt. To new to determine tread life and haven't been in rain but will update as time under wheels increase. | |

| I've had the 705's on my wrr for a little over 8k now. I commute 40 miles each way. Great grip and smooth rolling. Hopefully I can get ateast another 2k out of the rear, front still looks almost new. Will be getting another one when rear is gone. | |

| Thanks! Sounds like they will fit my riding style well. Once I wear out the stockers I will most likely pick up a set. | |

| Why so much pressure? Is it specific to the 705s? I run 22F/25R unless offroad, when I air-down into the mid teens. | |

| I have them on my R now and am at 20F and 25R.
Use to run them on my DR and they are a decent street / gravel / hard pack tire. They can get a little squirrel in grass so some throttle control is required and they pretty much suck in mud.
But if you are doing a lot of street riding with some gravel thrown in well they are a pretty decent tire.

| I just got these tires. Doing a 300 (600mile total) mile ride across the northern cascades in Washington state. Omak to Seattle. Anyone have some thoughts on these tires?
I will try to do a short review of the tires after this ride.

| Alright I got about 2000 miles on mine and they have been used for mostly pavement and gravel roads.
The rear is beginning to show a little flat spotting in the center and I have dropped the pressures to 20/20.
If I was going to do something that involved a decent amount of pavement with some FS roads thrown in I would have no issues using these tires. Once they wear out I will be trying a MT43 rear and still am trying to decide what to pair it up with on the front - maybe a MT21??
I have another set of wheels that I keep a set of Pirelli XCMH's on so the 705 set is my daily ride set.

| I just mounted these tires as well. Coming from a T63 I was worried about gravel performance, but they were fine. Not quite as much grip, but enough for my needs.
They were noticeably heavier than the T63 though.

| I spooned these tires on last week. I noticed that the chevron pattern is facing the opposite direction. I installed the tires as the direction arrows showed. I did some research and it seems that the front is supposed to have this orientation, but the rear is not. My rear also has the backwards chevron orientation.
Do any of you with experience with this tire also have this issue? If so what is your feelings on the tires performance on the road, rain, and dirt with this backwards orientation?
I am guessing that since its a bias ply tire the direction doesn't matter that much.

| Yes the front tire is suppose to look like it is facing "backwards" as the traction forces are the opposite than the rear.
As for performance goes, I have been happy with them. Dry pavement they have lots of grip. On wet pavement the rear can break loose pretty easy under braking, especially it your going downhill.
On dry to loose gravel they are fine, but the more loose the gravel become, the more you need to focus. The rear have enough traction to get to front wheel up if need be. I haven't tried them out yet on wet gravel.
I did play on some trails today, muddy trails too. This was not what these tires are made for obviously and they are dangerous as a high speed, but they got me though. It was pretty fun actually as it made easy trails a challenge.
Front tire is kinda heavy due to it being tubeless constructed.

| So the rear was on backwards. Since it is both a front and rear tire I got confused by the side wall rotation arrow. One says front and points one way. Another one says rear and points an opposite way. I though that it meant to point the arrows towards the front and rear for the bike. Not if mounted in the front use this rotation and if mounted on the rear use this other rotational arrow. WTF.... opps. | |
