Nice.
I'm very familiar with that bike because a good riding buddy owned one for years.

With an aftermarket muffler, it has even more gobs. thumb

i had a 87 xt600 it was a brute loved it till you turn it over and then what a pig but a very fun bike the ole boys on the 450 racers hated me when they would hit 4th or 5th id be going around them they would always get me out of the hole but i could pull the back and pass them on topend they just didn't have the gear to run on top i never told them i was still in 3rd gear and lots more to go lol

These bikes were very popular for station use; mustering, bore running et al. A friend of mine still owns one. It has two oil coolers fitted, and about 130,000km on the clock ie second time around. Add electic start and Yamaha would sell truckloads of them here. Sigh. Market's too small.

Brings back memories. I had an '84 along with an '86 YZ-250. The YZ was the better ride, but te TT was low maintenance and you could stay on it all day. Heavy, though.
