| We went for some supermoto dirt riding today. This was the first time my wife had ridden on dirt and she ended up doing pretty well. She got some nice air off a couple of jumps and climbed a pretty big dirt slope on the first try. It was all good until she decided to take the X swimming in a deep, soft and incredibly gooey mud sink-hole. While it doesn't look so bad in the pic, it took three of us about 20 minutes to extricate the bike and then her from the muck. Southern Alberta mud is clay based, which makes for an slippery, goopy mess that is difficult to get off and impossible to drive/ride through. It is like mud quicksand. | |

| Wow! Good thing you got those axle sliders on there or it could have really got beat up. Glad she's enjoying the ride though. | |

| What was her reaction when you took the pic first instead of getting her outta there? | |

| So, looking at those pictures, if we come out dirt riding with you folks we should bring the Unimog as an extraction vehicle? | |

Possibly. Kelly just needs to be a bit more discriminating in what she chooses to try to ride through. | |

| Mud + 606's = Mud + sumo rubber = _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| And now, photographic proof of why "gettin' dirty" with an X is not a smart idea ;) | |

| Oh, come on. There are plenty of times when an X doesn't fall down, but of course you won't see those since no one had to stop, so no picture. | |

| There is an awesome dirt area south of 22X at 52nd St. It is full of bowls, whoops, jumps, lips etc etc. We went and played on Sunday and it was a blast. Unfortunately we were too busy having fun to take any pics. The little X worked very well in the dirt and was a lot less intimidating than my SXV. The X climbed the steepest hills and bogged through soft dirt and ruts like a trooper, all the while slipping and sliding on its "slick tires". :) Honestly I had a blast and learned a ton about riding in the dirt. I only fell down once and that was pretty minor. This pic was taken earlier in the day when my SXV buddy John wanted to try the X. | |

| Thats the launch. This is in full flight looking for a landing space. It is kind of a cool jump that seems to produce a long hang-time without huge air. This is the view from the bottom | |
