I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself guys.

I'm still somewhat new to the riding scene and wanted to introduce myself and my bike.

I purchased a mint condition stock 2008 WR250X from a private seller in July of 2010 with 885 miles on it, It now reads 1,500 miles (I know I'm ridiculous LoL)

Since I've purchased it I've been working on mechanical and appearance upgrades more then I've been riding it as you can tell.

Mods:

-AIS System delete along with the air box flapper mod
-K & N Air Filter along with holes drilled in the air box
-44 tooth rear sprocket
-Dyno Jet Power Commander III with the Touch Screen Display Unit
-FMF Power Bomb Header
-FMF Q4 Pipe
-Exhaust ExUp Motor removed and replaced with the 12 O'clock labs emulator
-Replaced white side covers with black ones from the 09' model
-"Micky Mouse" Mirrors removed and replaced with PowerMadd hand guards with mirrors
-Installed DRC LED Edge Taillight Kit along with flashers in the smoked lenses
-Tons of Zeta stuff:
(Skid Plate,Throttle Tube,Rear Brake Clevis,Gas Cap,Engine Plugs,Front Master Cover,Rear Master Cover,Rear Carbon Fiber Caliper Guard to name a few things...)
-Tinted the front headlight with Lamin-x Film

There has also been a good amount of weight taken off the bike. I'm guessing it might weigh around 20lbs less than stock.

I actually custom wrapped all the panels with the 3M clear bra film since the plastics scratch so easy and it actually looks like they have a higher gloss then new.

And I still have many more things in the works.

Here are a few pictures:

Looks good! thumb

How do you like those mirrors? Are they now the widest part of the bike?
I really like the functionality of bar end mirrors, for street use.

Thanks!

The mirrors are actually pretty good for what they are, there isn't much vibration and you have a pretty good sight radius with them. They are the widest part of the bike but really don't extended much past the end of the grip which is nice. I looked at a bunch of different setups before doing this one, I actually ordered a CRG 2" mirror and a CRG Arrow mirror to see what they looked like on the bike but I ended up not even using so if you know anyone looking for one of these or your interested let me know!

I have CRG bar-end 'lane splitters' on my Triumph, they work very well but are expen$ive!

Still not sure what mirrors I want on the WR...

I have some close to this but I like to keep the ugly one left hand side only/stock to see what car is behind me.... ie cops:)
