If your interested, there's a used 2008 R2 in Middletown, CT. The bike is 100% stock with 200 mikes and the guy wants $4000. It's been for sale for awhile so maybe he'll budge on the price. LEt me know if your interested and I'll shoot you over his digits.

Sure, I'm interested, If the one in Schenectady sells. I'm out of town right now and I hope it's still there when I get back. It's an '08 with 800 miles sounds like he broke it in properly and took care of it - $3850. Hopefully I can talk him into $3500. I'll be back next week and then I'll let you know.

Thanks thumb

I know the one your speaking of . . .I believe I saw it on Craigslist. FYI- before I bought mine, I emailed the seller and he said he would be willing to go to $3750. Considering this was without even seeing the bike, no doubt you could do a bit better. Anyways, CT is not too far from you if the other one sells. Damn, I feel like a used car salesman here. All I can say is I'm thouroughly enjoying mine!

Well...I got a call the other day from that guy who had the bike with the rust in the tank. Apparently the check didn't clear from the other guy who bought it. He called me to see if i was still interested, so I asked him the price, he says 3500, I say in it's condition I won't pay more than 3200....he says 3350.....I say 3200....he says...F it, ok, 3200. wink

There's a lean on it...he needs my 3200 to cover what he owes. So I'm going to print a legal bill of sale from the internet and write the conditions, which are he takes my 3200 pays off the bike and has the finance company release the title to me, for the bike with 755 miles on it. Are their any other precautions I need to take? I think we are both going to the finance office together to clear all this up. He seems like he wants to do it right too....but I'm nervous, he needs to get rid of that lean, I've never been in this situation before, advice??

That's how I bought my Harley. I went with the guy to the bank, deposited the check, he sent a check to the lein holder, I of course wrote up a contract, and I took the bike with me. I believe I also had him contact the lender (with me in the room) and tell them he was paying off the loan and to send the title to my address . . .I think? Anyways, you can usually judge someone's character fairly well. If the guys giving you bad vibes . . .walk away. If he seems like a straight shooter, go for it. Anyways, this bike is awesome . . .I absolutely love mine. Good luck and send pics when you get her.

ooops, seems like I'm having some difficulty posting a picture....oh well

Anyways.....

I'd really like to give my 2 cent about this bike for people who still haven't decided whether or not this is the bike for them. First off, let me tell you a little about me. I'm 25, 6', 165lbs, and been a motorsports enthusiast since I started at around age 7 on a snoscoot (snowmobiliers will know what that is!!). I used to have an FZ6, it was a great bike, I ride my Banshee religiously, I also have an SX600r (snowmobile), and a vintage RT1. I've ridden many machines and enjoy each and everyone of them for what it is. So here's the verdict.......I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!! It is so EASY to ride. It IS powerful for a 250, ride it like a 2 stroke!!! If you play it like an instrument it is extremely fun. The handling is amazing, the bike fits me perfectly, it is just a joy, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
