The story of my x

so i bought my 09 x in late may with intent to commute 160 miles per day (from the high desert to LA and back). so far i have just hit 8,000 miles and im on my fifth oil change and just ordered a new set of tires for it (pirelli sport demons 140/70/17 & 110/70/17).

mods include:
big gun evo exhaust
just ordered the dynojet programmer
k&n
cut front fender
drc fender eliminator
header heat wrapped
renthal bars
horn Mod (ford expedition horns)

near futur mods include
yamalink lowering link
carbon fiber plastics (waiting on the material so i can make them)
fat bars
zeta handguards with integrated turn signals
HID conversion with smoked lense
rizoma naked prototype mirrors
marchesini rims (anodized red)
and much more

after i krinkle painted the exhaust heat shields and installed the drc fender elimiator


after the horns were installed (using ford oem horn bracket and connector)


new voice box installed and heat wrapped header

Nice X. Makes me want to buy a set of black fairings. You work at Carmax? Those blue and yellow car lifts stood out. =)

Thanks, yeah I looked and looked for the 09 for that specific reason, I loved the black on black look. It took me a while to locate one but when I did went out and grabbed it ad fast as I could lol

Oh and as for the lifts in the pic, I'm a subaru technician. They do come in handy when I'm workin on my bike tho!

Thanks man, I went with that one cuz Iv had good experiance with big gun in the past. It was a bonus that the color scheme matched lol. I love the sound of it, it sounds like my friends monster xr650!
