Gas cap cross reference / cheap gas cap

I'm on the search for a cheap, lightweight, non-locking gas cap for my X to R conversion days. I'm not finding a lot of aftermarket options specifically for the WR250R/X and I don't really want/need a $70 billet one.

Can anyone cross reference to another bike's cap that would fit ? Thanks !

OK, after some Zeta gas cap cross referencing, the DRZ400 and our WR use the same gas cap.

Anyone own or have a friend who has a DRZ400 to see if the stock caps are interchangable ??

Thanks ! I know those gas caps from back in the day. Not exactly what I was looking for, though. Plain old black plastic is all I want / need.

could spray plasticoat or bed liner on that ol chrome cap? :P

then why buy it?

FYI, the cross reference to DRZ400 only applied to S and SM models.

I gave up and bought a Zeta gas cap.
