Took a day off work and trailered up to Castlemaine in central Victoria where my folks live to go for a ride round some of the trails I used to do when I was a kid

Here's Dad casting an eye over the new toy

A little bit of single track to start with, It had been raining all last night but the trail was
in perfect condition

The trail opens up before I drop in a little valley called Moonlight Flat

The trails got a bit overgrown since I was last in here

Eventually got through and into a pine plantation known as the Pinies, its easy to get lost in here
as it is a labyrinth of tracks that all look the same

Found an old quarry, back in the 1800's this area had one of the richest Gold deposits in the world
there are hundreds of old mines in the area

The Wind screen is a grinders mask, very cheap. I cut 2 small grooves in bottom and wedged it between the brake line and the headlight fairing, then cable tied it, it holds at 110Km and takes a lot of wind off my cheast
