New guy from Conifer, CO

I wanted to thank you all for a great forum! It was very helpful in my bike decision. I picked up a new 2011 WR250R this past Saturday and I feel like a kid again (39 year old kid!).

I used to live in North Turkey Creek. Lots of nice riding there. Good luck with the bike. I love mine. Best bike I've ever owned. I'm just a tad older........bikes just get more fun evey year.

I've lived off of Jennings and South Turkey Creek for about a year now. I've owned jeeps for years and the only place I know of in this area is Slaughterhouse Gulch. Can you point me in the right direction (website, maps, etc) for finding trails near me?

Hey Condor, I lived in North Turkey Creek from 1971-1973 and I'm afraid my 72 year old brain isn't up to the task you ask of me. Hell I have a hard time remembering to put my pants on some days! Back in 1978 I moved to Meeker and bought 80 acres in a remote area adjoining the Forest. I still have that property and could give you advice on riding up there .

I pick my 2010 wr250r up this weekend- can't wait! I'm in Denver, throw me on your list of local riders if you'd like. It's been a while since I've ridden dirt so I'm labeling myself a noob.

Mordicai- I PM'd you for some info on Meeker. I love that area. It was part of my motivation to pick up a wr!
