Well I had my worst crash today.
The bad news first. This happened when I was looking at my friends bike
in front of me. He had something stuck in his spokes so I was trying to
catch up and tell him. Well I was in 3rd gear and took my eye off the
trail. Do this and you would not see the baseball size rock that the
front tire slid out on. I wish It would have been some spectacular
nasty trail but it wasn't.

The water pump cover sprung a leak. I seem to remember HF doing a mod to his skid plate. That was a good Idea!

Guards and levers need to be replaced.

Right hand boot, pant leg and truck needs Anti freeze washed out.

Helmet needs bolt that was sheared off replaced.

The good part is I did not get hurt bad. Just very sore I laid in the
woods for ten minutes. This is all because of the great gear that I was
wearing.

I guess what they say is true "What doesn't kill you, will make you a better rider!"

See my gear review after the crash. https://wr250rforum.forumotion.com/equipment-gear-reviews-f7/review-after-crash-t590.htm#5295

So This will cost me:
Water pump cover $30X2 one extra so it won't happen again.
Hand guards $90
Brake lever $14
Visor ?

Not to mention the Yamaha dealer two trails down behind the second Pine
tree didn't have any in stock. So I had to go home. FAST

Glad you are okay, but replace the helmet, not just the bolt.

+10 I'd replace the brain bucket too after a hit like that. Better a fresh lid than a cracked melon the next time (which hopefully won't happen any time soon) you take flying lessons. Glad you came out as well as you did; that could have been really ugly.

Glad you fared OK. It's amazing how quickly crap can happen. One moment you're up, then next your laying down deciding if it's safe to move.

I too would replace the helmet. My new Shoei should be here Monday to replace the one I impacted last month. No real visible signs of damage, but I heard and felt it hit and had a slight headache afterwards. Your helmet is showing actual markings. I think it would be an unnecessary risk to re-use it. Helmets are comparatively cheap.
