| Got out again today. First shot overlooks Davis Creek Reservoir, built for Homestake Mining as their water supply. Rain due later this week. . . . . | |

Alex I'm from Galt, but currently live in Lodi, and I'm always looking for people to ride with, especially another WRR/X. Down to go to Carnegie sometime?

| Today was my first ride with my son (on the left) who just received the "green light" from his mom for a motorcycle. I guess when you're 22 and nearing the end of college it is time for her to let go. He got his gear last week and is jazzed about riding. Didn't fall far from the tree I guess. He's on the WRR and I'm on the green KLR. My friend came along on his KLR. Son did great for his first dirt ride. Couldn't have picked a better dual sport for him to start out on. | |

| ....I went to Chico State too. I can just imagine the riding out there in the hills.
What kind of giant loop type bag is that on your bike?

| Didn't sign up for Sheetiron, not much for large group rides. Something out there for everyone, right?
It is an early Giant Loop bag before they came out with the Coyote and Great Basin. Just bare textile, no waterproof coating. Handy size to keep a few tools and stuff. I have the Coyote and Fandango tank bag also.

| Looking north at Davis Creek Reservoir. Great ride today with my son on trails I hadn't explored before. He has pretty much taken over the WRR, leaving me struggling with a heavy KLR. | |

| Trip to Oregon with my son. Highway 128 through Fort Bragg, then north on Usal Road. Spent first night in Sinkyone State Park. The camp host said the road to Bear Harbor was closed to motorized vehicles but our bikes could make it through. Darn, had the place to ourselves. Think it ever gets windy there? Our campsite The next morning we had visitors, had to ride past them to get out. Lost Coast, Mattole Road As steep as it looks Second night in Loeb State Park east of Brookings, Oregon. Next morning took forest road 1376. As good as it gets, favorite section of the ride Another view of same spot Back in California, highway 3 | |

| Today's ride was up Bear Valley Road, across Bartlett Springs to M5, north to Wilson Camp turnoff. Indian Valley Reservoir in the background May I mention that street tires SUCK on dirt! Dumped in a couple times in the steep stuff, Shinko 705s are not for dirt use. Rain on the way home, June in California? | |
