Hey everybody...new guy here from San Diego. Just got a 08 WRR last month...and am loving every minute on the new steed. cheers My wife and 1 year old daughter aren't quite as thrilled as lil blue is stealing dad away a bit on the weekends. I'd really like to throw a big thanks to the moderators here as well as Mark at Big Dog Adventures, Rick Ramsey, the guys over at WRR Dual Sport.com and B Asher at Basherdesigns for putting up with my recent questions and blogging all the great posts on these bikes. thumb It made my month of research and immediate upgrades to the blue beast much easier.

The 2008 blue beast came with an FMF Pipe, Cherry Bomb Header, FMF Power Programmer, Zeta levers and only 1400 miles. Again, thanks to the fine information from the aforementioned riders, I added a safari tank, hand guards, a richocet skid plate, a nomadic-racks rear rack and some other odds and ends before i even took it out for it's first official ride. The lil guy is awesome. Can't wait to hit up some longer range offroad rides...currently working on a SD to Vegas all offroad romp. If anybody out west here has any info they don't mind sharing or want to hit up a ride...

Until then...keep the rubber side down.

Great set-up! Are you OK with the stock seat?

you know...honestly, i haven't done a "full day" (6+ hours) on it yet...so i'm not sure that i'm qualified to answer your question there, migrant. but it doesn't seem so bad so far. got stuck riding about 45 min coming back home on the interstate last weekend when a buddy's KTM 950 was acting up (again) and it seemed alright. not a mod i'm going to make any time soon anyway. if i'm planning on a big road ride i'll probably just take my SV instead.
