| Are you asking about R's or X's?
If they're in a dealership there's very little room to bargain.
What are they asking for them? What are they asking for the 2012 models?
What are out the door prices?
Look on Craigslist and eBay and cycletrader and see what used ones are selling for.
Buy used.

| I bought a 2011 WR250R in September last year. Paid $8600 OTR after taxes and all. The 2012 at my dealer is $6800 plus everything which would be around $8000. That's in BC Canada. | |

| Right. And in 2009 I found a local guy selling a 100% stock, 2008 X model with a touch over 300 miles on the odometer for $4000. Buying new seems like such a huge waste of money. To each their own though. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

In 2009 the US MSRP for an X was about US$ 6,500 ?? In Canada it was Cdn$ 8,500. Spring 2010 there was exactly 1 used (with few 1,000 kms on it) 2009 X for sale in all of Ontario, he wanted Cdn$ 5,500 firm. I bought a new one for Cdn$ 6,000. | |

| I agree w/ some of the sentiment to buy used, but I've been looking for a used one & there is nothing for sale right now (near denver anyway). I noticed on cycletrader there are a few new 10's and 11's and even an 09 for sale quite a bit cheaper than a 12. What are the differences between the years? Did they make any significant improvements, or fix a reliability issue or anything over the years? Brad

| To answer the original question, a dealer here told me that yamaha was discounting the 2011 bikes by $800. I think the msrp for the 2011 was around $6500? So that would make $5700 the most you should pay for a 2011.

| The only difference between years is color.
Some 2008's had fuel pump issues.
Other than that NOTHING but color choices.

| Just paid $6050 for my 2012. $6500 OTD. Would expect to pay $5600 and there are no factory rebates for the WR | |
