well as everyone knows i did the custom dual exhaust. and i also have the airbox door off. my bike is running rich because the pipes look like that of a diesel. I have an fmf programmer and i was wondering if there was anyway to lean the mixture out without putting the door back on. the bike has no performance issues, but it could most likely run better.

What numbers are you running on your programmer?

Quick answer - an FmF programmer can ONLY add fuel. It can't take it away.

I do find it hard to believe you're too lean rich if you've removed airbox door and replaced the stock exhaust with something less restrictive.

Really need to know what numbers your programmer is running.

Yeah...oops.

I meant to rich. It's such a rare condition with the wr250x/r that I naturally just typed lean. baldy

I meant to say:

Only ways I can think of you'd be running rich with the intake and exhaust both opened up would be high altitude, too much additional fuel from the programmer, or a coolant temp sensor thats shorted (pinched wires is the most common).

The other option is that your fancy dual exhaust is actually more restrictive than the OEM muffler somehow. I don't think that's the case from seeing the pics.
