If it'll help you... I'm 5-7, 137 lb.s, older, bad hip. I originally ordered the low in the extra soft foam, changed my order to the regular height but the low got sent in error. I tried it - just setting the foam on the pan on the bike and immediately knew it would hinder movement and have a undesirable forward slope. Returned it for the standard height seen in the pic, same soft foam.

Results - I still am a bit bothered by a bit of forward slope, or maybe its the gripper cover getting my panties in a wad, so to speak. I wouldn't go gripper again. The super soft foam makes it harder (or more difficult) to feel the rear traction when steering with the back. I'll probably adjust. The extra rear width kind of bumps my legs funny when standing and moving on the bike. Again, maybe just different feel.

But - My hip doesn't hurt! And the Seat Concepts stickers on the shrouds added 5 ft. lbs. of torque.

That's an old wives tale. Utah is mostly Buddhists. Our dirt is all reincarnated virgins.
