| It has the australian rad guard on it. Not sure if that helps or hurts. | |

| Force radiator guard channels more heat towards your calf area
I drilled a couple of small holes on the back brace to ease the heat... they helped a little

| Can't say that mine's been giving me trouble. I've got the Force and to be honest, I don't find it any warmer running that than what I pulled off there in regards to the stock setup. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

Remember take care of the bike heat your leg is expendable! From your avatar I would worry about my face. _________________ YamWOW! It's made in Japan. You know the Japanese make good stuff!

| I haven't found a solution to it, but I know what you mean. This little thing roasts the right leg when wearing textile gear worse than any of my other bikes. It makes me contemplate getting the temperature gauge radiator cap so I can make sure it's not too hot. | |

| I don't notice the heat in MX boots, only in my shorter street boots. | |

| I have noticed the heat on my right leg on longer rides. Its pushing 100 degrees around here for awhile now, so I figured that might be a contributing factor. But really, the problem must be the air flow design. I feel it on my right ankle wearing calf-high street boots, so its strange that the radiator would get me way down there at highways speeds, but I suppose its possible. I do not feel the heat higher up. Certainly mx boots with their thicker build should resist the heat, but I would like to know exactly why its getting so hot down there. | |

| Its a combination of the radiator and the exhaust pipe. | |

| I noticed today that it felt like the exhaust was radiating on the back of my leg. Also, has anyone noticed that the frame gets pretty warm on the right side? | |

| yes... if I purposely stick my leg on the frame while moving, it's warm | |

| I have the B&B rad guard and havn't had a problem yet with the fan running or not but it is winter here so i havn't ridden in any more then 27 degrees celsius heat. | |

| So far my work around while at speed is to put my foot forward on the peg for a few minutes to cool down, but that isn't going to work on a busy road or trail. But then, I haven't really felt it going slow, either. | |

| I'm all stock. Ride in just jeans and sneakers when running errands around town. Feels warm, but not uncomfortable at all. | |

That's not winter. Winter is hibernation season and full of snow an ice. 27 would be about as hot as it gets here in mid summer. I've seen one day this year so far that was 31 so I know it's definitely not an ambient temperature issue.

| I've noticed the heat, too. On my drz, with 2 radiators, both feet got equal heat, so maybe some is that.. one foot is nice & cool & the other one is getting the heat. I also just put my heel on the outside peg & let it cool off. You would have to put a shield to divert the flow past the engine, which might make it run hotter. I also wonder about the fan cover/housing. It seems like it blocks the air flow somewhat.. but without it maybe there'd be more heat on the feet.
