Okay so I've only ridden quads and a sportbike in my life. No dirtbikes or any other motorcycles. Knowing this maybe you'll understand where I'm coming from. When cornering on pavement the rider scoots up on the seat and leans over with their head, shoulders, chest and stomach. There's no moving off of the seat like one would on a sport bike, correct? Same thing for dirt, gravel blah blah blah? In terms of mud, where should you be sitting? I would think that if you're going fast you would sit forward so your front doesn't wash out and when you're going slow you sit back so the rear tire has more weight so it doesn't spin and puts the power down. Am I right or way off key?

Awesome. I see quite a few good topics in there that will help me out tons. Funny thing is that I'm already a member of that site. I've yet to explore it though. Much appreciated.

I do it both ways; supermoto style, sitting upright, leg out, and sometimes street bike style, hanging off. On the street it's strictly supermoto style though.

Here's a couple laps from the track.

Nice riding. Were you the only one out on the track? I keep telling myself "I'm gonna have a track day, I'm gonna have a track day, I'm gonna have a track day" and I still have yet to do so cry

It's possible I was. That was from a while back. I don't recall if there were more people that day or not.

Trackdays are great. You can really get a feel for what the bike is capable of, as well as yourself. You can sort out what techniques you like too.
