Thought you guy might like to see some pics of the aftermath of my brother in laws latest near death experience 3 weeks ago.

was his birthday ride. we live 5km down the bitumen from the dirt, trip meter was 6.3km after the crash, so we had barely kicked up any dust.
He claims he looked at the speedo just before and was doing 120kph. the tree was about 6" round and laying across the road 8" in the air.
Bike is/was an '07 WR450F with13.5:1 piston, yz cams, vortex ignition, akrapovic full system, running 14/48 gearing. He saw the tree last second and tried to bounce over. Was WOT limiter bashing in 4th when it hit.

results are a very messed up bike, we've quoted insurance about $4,500. sub frame and front end is all twisted. he got a compression fracture on the front side of his L4 and lost a lot of skin. healing up and getting round ok, just off work without pay for another 6 weeks yet.

all this happened 10 months to the day after and only 1km from where he had another big crash and had his spleen removed. Hopefully he might slow down a bit now, though thats unlikely :)

Overall of damage. you notice the chain on the seat. had to be removed cuz the impact drove the wheel back in the swingarm so hard it was piano string tight and couldnt be wheeled around once the chain cooled.
