Fork Seal Protectors

So I hate having to clean some dirt out of my fork seal every month or so. I was looking into different types of protectors for the fork seals. I will be the first to admit that I am mechanically inclinded, but have no knowledge when it comes to bikes. I was thinking of putting on some boots, but I NEVER see them anywhere, and was wondering if there was a reason for this. Advice?

Yep, have these on my bike. Very nice in stopping little bits from entering your seals. Just make sure you take them off and clean them when you clean the bike.
