Here is my winter project. 1991 Kawasaki 125 2stroke.

Winter project 53F5840E-4E6A-4D10-A3E4-84AFDB982008-635-000000942C28B588

A bud and I are taking this on to give me a motocross track bike (local track makes you remove all signals, mirrors, kickstand and hand guards) and also so we have an extra bike for others to ride. All I know about it is it is leaking oil and coolant. From where, don't know. I also know nothing about 2 strokes so this should be a fun adventure. If any of you out there have tips please let me know. I am going to try to document my progress here as I go as a reference for myself and for those of you interested.

Cheers

2 Strokes are fun. I completely rebuilt a 2 stroke scooter motor last winter. Learned alot about them by doing it. Had no idea prior.

An MX bike requires maintenance, well before others bikes.

I would love a 125 to kick around on...I just cant afford that routine. No matter how cheap I get my example.

Next time I get an MX bike, I plan on wearing it out on an MX track...

Till then I'm a trail tourist...and a bit of an ass.

Then again, I'm jealous I dont have an mxer to complain about.
