Who's too old for a dual sport bike?

Here's my 2012. I've added the windshield, bags, Sargnt seat and grip protectors. I've got 1,000 miles on since I purchased in June. Its my first off road ride and am still getting used to off road. Next year I plan an off road adventure. Next farkle will likely be handlebars.

I'm freshly retired and looking to get out next spring/summer somewhere in some direction too.
