What's This Forum For? Inspiration!

I assume we've all at one time or another watched the slide show on the splash page at the ADV website right? And looked at those pics and went "Oh man, I've just GOT to get out and ride".

Porn for dual sporters, if you will.

Well, we have lots of people here taking incredible pictures as well.

So... I asked for a "Picture of the Day" site and now we have it.

As I asked for it - and I've been made the moderator - let me suggest what I think this is for.

It isn't the place to put a picture of your flat tire snapped with your cell phone. Or a picture of some bear crap in the middle of the trail. Nor even a portrait of your WR - we all have one, you know.

This is a place for you to post your "money shots" or whatever you want to call them. The pictures that capture the essence of why we ride. The incredible places our bikes carry us to. Those adreneline charged moments that make your feet tingle. And maybe even, the things in life that have nothing to do with a motorcycle, but capture the essence of what our lives are all about.

Anyways, this is the place to post those very special photos that hopefully speak to the rest of us here. That give us inspiration to GET OUT AND RIDE!

I look forward to seeing those special windows into all my fellow WR owners rides and lives!

Nope, not at all. I think a lot of photos would be better if the person taking the picture hadn't screwed around trying to figure how to get a bike in there in the first place.
