Just picked this up as a daily driver for my 3 mile commute to work. I live in Chicago and parking sucks! I have to say this bike is so fun to toss around the turns!! I have been riding the whole winter season too, rain, snow, and sleet!! Coming from 1k street bikes it's not the fastest...but still fun for the money!

I put in LED taillight and front turns signal in the hand guards.

The Shinko tires and rims are from another member on here. They have got me thru the snow with low psi in them. Next mods will be a new tune and different mirrors. The OEM mirrors suck!

Looks good man. They're great commuters and a fun ride no matter what bike your coming from. I go 50 miles a day on the freeway with mine.

What do you usually cruise at? I have done highway trips, 40 miles at a time and I feel like cruising at 75-80 is revving it a lot.... I have stock gearing. My last bike was a 2007 gsxr1k tho, and maybe I'm just not used to it.

Usually 75+ for most of the commute. These bikes love to rev man. Your not hurting anything. I shift up to 6th at 65 and its pretty much purring until about 80 then it's pushing. Stock gearing also. I used to have a triumph scrambler. Was a 900cc 5 speed and the wrx feels better on the freeway than it did. Of course it's going to be a lot different than a litter sport bike. But it's well capable of interstate commute.

you should get a lock or wire just in case! i ride mine on the high way and i have to rev it and keep it in 5th, it whines/hums along otherwise it stutters when cold

i use a wire and a lock for theft prevention in denver, but we are also not allowed to park between cars at meters

Are those the 705's? I run them on my KTM and BMW, love'um for what they are. Im getting a set of 17's for the WR250R and plan on putting them on that bike as well. What size do you have up front?

-I baught the bike with them on. So i'm not sure exactly.

-Lojack would be a great thing to get. I park next to my hospital, they have patrol and camera's so i'm noping that is enough to keep bad theives away.

- i'll have to check and see what size the tires are. they are really beefy!
