| Quick mock-up of the general direction I might be heading. Lower parts of the gas tank shrouds will be black. Some other ideas....but I don't want to give it away just yet. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| The most difficult part of this process comes down to two things. 1) Patience - I have little. I want to paint and repaint and keep painting when I now damn well I have to wait for things to dry sufficiently 2) Ideas vs talent - I have some (in my mind) interesting ideas on what I want final product to look like, I just wonder if I have the talent to pull it off. I want my bike to invoke I could end up with all the while I'm _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I know right.....I'm dying here. These "projects" always start out with high expectations and the desire to be as meticulous as possible. By the end of the second day I'm almost in a "fuck it" type mood and I want to strip the tape, bolt the crap back up, and see what I've done. I'm dying. Did I say that already? I feel like I need to wait at least another hour before having a look at the overall idea. Waiting for paint to dry....isn't there some kind of saying about that? By the way - black covers so much better, and quicker than yellow. I may need to buy another can of yellow for follow up work later down the road. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| For the time being - the side panels stay white. Traditional Yamaha racing colors were black/yellow/white. I'm not saying I won't add some white somewhere else though. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Looks awesome! I am a huge fan of the yellow/black color scheme. These bikes have always made me I do agree that you need to do something with the side panels... Some white pinstriping between the black and yellow would look pretty slick. | |

| Dang. For a rattle can spray job, it looks REALLY good.
I also agree, a couple tasteful (black) Yami decals or something might make it pop even more.
And I still think the white side panels look a little out of place, but not too bad. | |

| Think of the side panel as a "number plate".
I might look into the Yamaha "tuning forks" logo.....but that'd be it.

| Looks good Kid! Keep the white side panels! That seat seems to ne holding up good to. Any touchups needed on the seat since the original spray? | |

| So I bought a can of Valspar plastic paint and I think I am going to put a white stripe on my blue fenders to tie in the one on the headlight shroud.
Question: Did you continue the black stripe all the way to the back of the front fender? I can't see it in any of your pictures, and I am debating on doing the stripe all the way back or just stopping at the headlight shroud. Thoughts?
