| Mine. 2009. Nearly no mods apart from custom cut tail (no aftermarket parts) Would like to obtain Yamaha oversize handle bar clamp which is not available in Eu. Need to get from US somehow. Nice forum, BTW. Regards, Phil

I am from Singapore, and have the same EU version WR... Please share with me!!!!!! This idea was introduced by another WRR rider over here. There are several commercial and good looking solutions, but we did not want to spend the money. Got me a special cable via some motorcycle electrics dealer. Needed to avoid modifying any harness segments and original numberplate light: You need exactly this kind of adapter to plug new number plate light into stock numberplate light wires: Just remove these parts: Brute force cut this part. It is cheap, I guess. Update: no, unfortunately it is quite expensive. This was the only part modified at all. Get a new one and restore 100% original state of tail and lighting. This actually was modified some more. No pics from final status. Then, use 2 M6-50mm bolts as a replacement for stock bolts under mudcatcher. Use some 15mm spacer aluminium tubs (7mm inner diameter) to get distance for number plate holder right. Drill 2 holes at number plate holder. Fit backmost as far as possible! Take care it will not touch rear tire with damper compressed. Use self secured hexnuts at mounting bolts. (2 pairs for 2 bolts, one on top of number plate holder fixing spacer tubes, one below it) Install new LED number plate light available as motorcycle standard part by use of cable mentioned above (need to soldier adapter cable to new light). Route cable safely to plug location, left side of seat. Finetune. Test. Ride. :)

edit: Oh ya.. so you did not use the metal support at all? Definitely not. The parts removed are shown acurately at one of the pictures above. The plastic number plate holder was fixed to rear mud catcher carrier frame by rearmost two of those 4 bolts. Those two bolts, as mentioned, were prolonged for this kind of usage. Spacers and washers inserted where approriate. Using secured hexnuts instead of metal plates removed.

| Phil, you should post those in the mod section too. It would be great for those with EU bikes to see what you have done. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

Also love the snowbank kickstand. Nice touch for the photo shoot. 3 years ago we experienced double snow level as shown in these pictures. One gets used to it :)

Yeah, looking forward to the wheels. Black Talon hubs with rear cush drive, black Excel rims (tubeless kit) and black spokes. Muffler: absolutely no need for noise. It runs perfect with stock settings. I would not even think of changing what does a perfect job. The only thing to consider would be a slight tuning for the rear shock. Phil

| Magura 750 4 piston radial caliper with Magura 195 radial pump ans goodrich steelflex.
Update: Some more details: tubeless kit, 150/60 rear tire, 120/70 front tire (will choose 110/70 next time for better tire clearance) Rear Talon cush drive hub (perfect idea! A big difference when riding low revs, even without knobby tires) Front spoke scheme with left/right crossings to reserve space for brake caliper. Transmission ratio 13/42 (vs. 13/43 of WR250R). This should be identical to stock WR250X. This bike (as supermoto) will be ridden on public roads mostly, no competition, not much of track riding.
Enduro conversion es done quickly. Change complete front brake assembly with left fork protector, change wheels, adjust chain slack, adjust speedohealer.
Everything has been legalized for public usage. Phil
