Hello my name is Jeff.  I ride a 2008 WR250X.  I am located in Greensboro NC.  I am interested in improving throttle response and adding a little bit of power.  I have decided to keep this bike long term as opposed to the other ten bikes I have had over the last 15 years.  If anyone nearby would be interested in sharing their mods and showing me your bike I would appreciate it.  I don't know anyone with the WR250R/X.   Currently I am looking at new exhaust and would be interested in learning more about what removing AIS and servo motor, etc, etc, would do to help me simplify, and gains I can achieve.  I know that has all been covered extensively but when you research and research and research and listen to others opinions it can become confusing.  My biggest thing is I dont want to lose any bottom end. But I will do my due diligence and hope I can add something to this forum.  Now I will try to post a picture or two of my bike. unsuccessful posting pics but I will fiqure it out with my Wifes help. usa

Welcome to the club. thumb

All I will say is that the mods really do wake this bike up. It will hurt the fuel economy, but the fun factor goes up. And that's what this bike is all about: FUN !!!

Easiest, cheapest, mod for performance is gearing. Best seat of the pants feel I think. Will eliminate low end jerkiness and gain bottom end torque unless your looking to do 80 on the highway.

No programmer yet, just decided to keep the bike instead of selling. I was offered $4000 for it today and turned it down. My plan is exhaust with a PC5 and a dyno tune. Just bought a 44t sprocket for the rear, did not want to do anything extreme with gearing yet since I do ride some highway. The bike sits with 1,278 miles stock with the a few exceptions including seat concepts lower foam seat, and hand gaurds.
