| No more ugly ass fender: Handguards with turn signals: Only thing left from the "looks department" is to get rid of the butt-ugly mirrors. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Yeah...they are rather ginormous....but I can live with those for now. Replacements for those will be on my X-mas list. My next, and last purchase for the time being will be a FmF Q4 slip-on exhaust. I HAVE to STOP spending money on this little lady. At least for a little while. At least until I need new tires. New Distanzias. yeah....nothing else until then. Unless they are gifts for X-mas. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Try these: http://www.jcwhitney.com/ADJUSTABLE_BLACK_CASE_RECTANGULAR_MOTORCYCLE_MIRROR_FOR_YAMAHA?ID=12;0;1101014483+200002440+2008;0;100003;ProductName;6;0;0;0;2002233;0 They look a lot better than stock, they haven't broken on me yet, and, when they do, they're a lot cheaper to replace. | |

| Not to change the subject, but how it that Delaware is the only state that doesn't have raised letter reflective painted license plates? | |

| No...I will go with these mirrors:
http://www.motostrano.com/hami.html They are almost invisible from the front of the bike. They tuck down in the handguards .
As for our plates....I have no idea. Never really thought about it. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

Mississippi doesn't for m/cs, specialty tags, and vanity plates.

| Kid,
Did the stock tail light wiring have plugs or was it hard wired throughout? I haven't gotten into it yet. I am interested because I want to make it a quick conversion when I take it to the track. One less thing to break. Thanks in advance.

| No plugs. Hardwired.
A bit disappointing, but nothing too difficult to fix. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

One less thing to break. Thanks in advance. Strange. There are plugs for the European version at least, running along under the left side of the seat. Here is the number plate plug. The other tail light wires were connected similar or equally: https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img23/7682/aheck1zj1.jpg https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img253/4505/aheck2cy0.jpg

There is at least one reason I could imagine. The WR is around EUR 6700.- over here, which would calculate to probably $10000. I read about people refusing to pay some more than $5000.- in this forum, if I remember correctly. Regards, Phil

Regards, Phil this is not the reason. the us is really cheap at bikes and cars. all bikes are cheaper but all are the same. only a few models are different. there is got to be another reason. maybe they have some restrictions about the size of the tailight... like the ugly front fender reflective... thing!

| Sure, the stock tail light on USA bikes have plug connections. The DRC LED tail light needs to be wired to the stock electrical connectors, however. In other words, the wires running out of the DRC tail light simply terminate at snipped-off ends with no electrical connectors on them at all. So, what you do is snip the stock connectors off the stock tail light and attach them to the ends of the DRC tail light wires. After that's done, you plug it in to the bike's wiring. The probable reason the USA stock taillight is bigger is because of different regulations requiring a bigger, longer, heavier, and (most probably agree) uglier and more-of-an-eyesore-and-nuisance-for-off-road-riding tail light. | |

| I mean that the USA tail light is bigger because the USA regulations say it has to be big and ugly and low-hanging, all in the name of safety. :) | |

| Don't forget - big, ugly, and low hanging also translates into heavy.
I was shocked at the weight of that piece of nasty garbage.
The DRC kit is fantabulous!!!
Rear turn signals will be on my X-mas list. (new thread idea) _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs
