CBR1000RR to wr250r in Richmond VA

Hey everyone!
That's right, sold my 07 cbr1000rr yesterday and went and picked up an 08 wr250r the same day. Seems kinda crazy but there were certain things that made me make that decision. I am originally from Pennsylvania and moved to to Richmond Virginia about a month ago.

My new bike is stock (except trail riding sprocket set up) with only 2,200 miles on it and I have a million questions to ask. I am looking to convert to street tires however I am completely new to the whole dual sport / sumo world. Will I be able to mount street tires on the dirt wheels or will I need to trade/buy proper wheels? I'm looking for roughly 70% street 30% off road capabilities.

I would also like to change the plastics because I am not a fan of the blue/white, not sure if I should paint them or buy a new set (not sure where I could get a whole set.) I'm looking forward to taking it out this weekend around RVA and hopefully some of you on here are near the area and would like to meet up for a ride!

Welcome, you can get some dual sport tires that are more street than dirt, if you are only going to go on the street then I would look around and get some X rims and tires, its all your choice as to where you are going to use the bike the most, cheer`s

Try some Shinko 244 tires, I had them when I lived in SoCal & they are good for everything except mud!
They handled the pavement and off-road (dry) perfectly and you can get front & back for under $100. I took them off this winter now that I live in Ohio and they are still 3/4 tread after 2,500 miles & I ride like an a$$hole!
